INDIA'S GDP GROWS 7.8% IN Q1 FY2026–27 DESPITE GLOBAL HEADWINDS
India's real GDP grew 7.8% year-on-year in April–June 2026, beating the 7.1% market expectation and the RBI's 7% forecast.
Real GVA grew 8.2%, while:
• Manufacturing: +9.2%
• Financial, real estate & professional services: +12.1%
• Private consumption: +7.1%
• Private investment growth: nearly 12%
—> Nominal GDP rose 10.3% to ₹88.27 lakh crore.
