On August 22–23, Russian representatives took part in the XI BRICS+ Legal Forum in New Delhi.The Russian delegation included members of the Federal Bailiffs Service of headed by its Deputy Director — Deputy Chief Bailiff of Russia, Lieutenant General of Internal Service Vladimir Voronin, as well as the Association of Lawyers of Russia headed by Judge of the Economic Court of the CIS, Dean of Higher School of Jurisprudence Department, Presidential Academy and member of the Presidium of the Association Oleg Zaitsev.
Over the two days, participants discussed the role of the rule of law in a multipolar world, strengthening legal capacity to ensure economic resilience, the development of legal education and mutual recognition of qualifications, regulation of artificial intelligence and the digital economy, as well as international investment arbitration and the establishment of a BRICS+ arbitration network.
The forum concluded with the adoption of the “New Delhi Declaration-II”.During the visit, Federal Bailiffs Service representatives held separate meetings with counterparts from Brazil, China and the UAE.
