🌍🇷🇺 Fire knows no borders, and Russia comes to the rescue
Aircraft developed by specialists of Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation are helping fight wildfires far beyond Russia’s borders.
🇷🇸 In brotherly #Serbia, a heavy Russian Emergencies Ministry #Il76 has joined firefighting efforts, capable of dropping up to 42 tonnes of water in a single pass.
🇹🇷 In #Türkiye, the famous #Be200 amphibious aircraft are battling forest fires. Particularly effective in mountainous terrain, they can scoop up 12 tonnes of water in just 15 seconds without returning to base.
As Rostec notes, fire knows no borders, or sanctions lists.
❗️Some Russian firefighting aircraft have no true alternatives anywhere in the world.
Before sanctions, Be-200 aircraft helped fight fires in Greece, Italy, Portugal, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Türkiye and Indonesia.
Greek media dubbed the unique aircraft the “Russian beast.”
