Russian Embassy in India: post #17494 — TG.ME

🎬 #OTD on August 27 Russia celebrates Cinema Day.

The date was chosen for a reason: on August 27, 1919, the Council of People’s Commissars of the RSFSR adopted a decree on the nationalisation of the film industry. The holiday was officially established in 1980 and has been celebrated as Russian Cinema Day since 2001.

🎞 Traditionally, special film screenings, meetings with actors and directors, creative evenings, exhibitions and masterclasses are held across the country.

The holiday offers an opportunity to enjoy classics of Russian cinema on the big screen and discover new Russian films.

📣 On August 29 New Delhi will host the Festival of Russian Cinema. The programme will include screenings of four films: “Chebi-2”, “The Golden Key”, “Angels of War” and “The Kid”.

📍Venue: Russian House, 24 Firoz Shah Road, New Delhi, 110001

Don’t miss and come with your friends!
