On August 25, Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India Yulia Aryaeva attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Russia. An Indian View” at the Russian House in New Delhi.The exhibition features photographs, paintings and graphic works, sculptures and installations created by Indian artists.
The project aims to highlight the significance of the historical ties between Russia and India and contribute to strengthening the countries’ longstanding friendship. It promotes cultural dialogue, deeper mutual understanding and expanded creative cooperation, further bringing the peoples of the two countries closer together.
The welcoming remarks were delivered by Acting Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India Ivan Ramenev, Deputy Director of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations under the Ministry of External Affairs of India, M.Swami, Director of the National Gallery of Modern Art, S.K.Gautam and Indian artist Aakshat Sinha.
The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps and creative circles, journalists, students of Russian, and Russian compatriots residing in New Delhi.
The exhibition is open to visitors until September 25.
