He makes S$12,000 a month and hasn't grown in 5 years.
"10 years later, I will be exactly where I am now."
A guy said that to me on a call last year.
He wasn't struggling.
He had classes almost every day.
His income was around S$10,000 to S$12,000 a month, and it moved around a little.
Every single client had come to him through word of mouth, with no marketing at all.
And he was running at roughly 70% of what he could actually take on.
Then he kept going.
"Because I probably am still the same as I was like 5 years ago."
He'd already lived the same year five times.
That's the version of stuck that never announces itself.
Nothing goes wrong, nobody complains, the money keeps arriving, the days stay full, and the tiredness at the end of each day feels like progress.
What I said back to him was the plainest thing I know.
If it's not in your calendar, it's not your priority.
I still check my own calendar against that line.
Nobody sits down and decides to repeat five years.
It happens because the work that would change the next five is the only work with nobody chasing it, and everything else on the calendar has a person attached.
Which is why working harder never touches it.
