A reminder to take into the new week 🍃 When we start to lose touch with our underlying feelings of distress inside us, we search for reasons outside of us that could be causing our distress. Our friends, family, partners, work, the current world we live in… We then connect our distress to these things, blaming them for how we feel and overlook the deeper reason that is causing our distress. So how can you resolve this? Whenever you notice yourself getting angry at others or something outside of you, just stop it mid-sentence, mid-thought. And rather than expressing it outwardly, feel the urge to rage or vent, inside. Do this every time you start to think angry thoughts or have the urge to vent or rage at someone outside of you. And over time you will feel the feelings of anger and your distress, start to fade inside of you. Because you are feeling it at its source, rather than getting away from the feelings by acting them out.
