Swan Bitcoin CEO Cory Klippsten thinks BTC could find its cycle bottom in October, roughly one year after its previous peak above $126K. His downside zone is still ugly: $57K, maybe even $53K, before a recovery.
But his bigger take is even sharper: Bitcoin can recover, while most altcoins are no longer real competitors as money.
— Klippsten says Bitcoin often bottoms around 12 months after a bull market peak.
— BTC peaked above $126K in early October 2025, so October 2026 becomes the key window.
— He sees a possible recovery toward $130K before the 2028 halving.
— 10x Research is more optimistic and says a bottom could be confirmed earlier if BTC closes August above $63K.
— Klippsten says altcoins are “basically dead” as money.
— He believes crypto’s best outcome is to become part of TradFi.
— Hyperliquid is his example: a centralized crypto business with a token that could eventually be treated like an exchange or bank.
— Wintermute also says altcoin rallies are becoming narrower, with liquidity moving only into names institutions actually want.
Bottom line: this is not a “everything will pump” thesis. Klippsten’s view is colder: Bitcoin may still have one more bottoming phase, but it remains the main asset. Altcoins, meanwhile, are turning into a selective TradFi-style game where only a few winners get real liquidity.
