🟠 Strategy sells BTC again — the treasury machine needs cash

Strategy sold 1,690 BTC for $108.6M between Aug. 3 and Aug. 9. The money went straight into buying back STRC preferred shares.

This is now the company’s fourth disclosed Bitcoin sale of 2026.

📊 What it means:
— Strategy has sold 6,948 BTC this year.
— It still holds 840,447 BTC.
— The latest sale was done at an average price of $64,262 per BTC.
— Its total average purchase price is much higher: $75,385 per BTC.

⚠️ Context:
— Strategy also sold 1,638 BTC the week before for STRC-related payments.
— Its US dollar reserve rose to $4.65B.
— STRC recovered to around $95 after recent buybacks.
— The company still has $785.2M left under its preferred-stock repurchase program.

Bottom line: Strategy is still the biggest corporate Bitcoin holder, but BTC is now part of its funding engine. Saylor’s company is no longer just stacking coins. It is selling pieces of the treasury to support STRC, protect cash flow and keep the structure alive.
