Dear Brothers and Sisters! 4 ‘I will stretch out my hand against Judah and against all who live in Jerusalem. I will destroy every remnant of Baal worship in this place, the very names of the idolatrous priests –  The BIBLE – Zephaniah 1:4; It breaks my heart to read such words of judgment. The GOD who made an eternal covenant with us humans allows such WORDS to be proclaimed because sin in Israel had become boundless. Judah and Jerusalem had turned away from GOD. Even their priests had followed Baal, Asherah, and whatever other names their idols were given. They had placed their hope in them and filled their homes with robbery and deceit. For a long time, God had called for repentance, but they had refused, so that ultimately the downfall of Israel became the inevitable consequence. What about our country? I am deeply convinced that Zephaniah's words have lost none of their relevance. Who in our country still seeks GOD and His WORD? Who still orients their life by GOD's commandments? The number of people who enter through the narrow gate, JESUS CHRIST, and walk on the narrow path that leads to eternal life has always been small. Many, however, are walking down the broad road that leads to eternal damnation. Many years of economic boom and prosperity have not done our country any good. On the contrary, they have emptied our churches. I am convinced that GOD is increasingly calling our people to account for the many aborted children and for a life of self-determination. Germany is increasingly reaping the self-chosen bitter fruits of autonomous living. But GOD stands by His covenant with us. Even today, He calls people to repentance, for He does not want even one of His creatures to be lost for eternity. It is high time to go into seclusion, reflect on our own lives, and make the necessary corrections so that GOD's blessing can flow again. May GOD grant that our country, the land of the Reformation, may once again become a place where people work for GOD's glory and for the well-being of their fellow human beings. Be blessed! Muuse
