Gaura Nitai Technologies is looking for passionate and experienced engineers with a strong background in 2G/4G/5G NR protocol stack development. You will work across various layers of the stack—PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, and RRC—to design, develop, and optimize components and scheduling algorithms for real-time systems.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
1. Physical Layer (PHY):
Design baseband PHY modules as per 3GPP NR specs
Develop signal processing algorithms (modulation, MIMO, OFDM, beamforming, etc.)
Perform integration and testing in lab and field environments
2. Layer 2 (MAC & Scheduler):
Develop MAC functions (HARQ, channel mapping, resource allocation)
Implement UL/DL scheduler algorithms and QoS enforcement
Integrate MAC with PHY and PDCP for end-to-end performance
3. PDCP & RRC Layers:
Implement PDCP features (header compression, ciphering, integrity)
Develop RRC procedures (connection setup, mobility, handovers)
Ensure 3GPP 38.xxx protocol compliance and handle signaling issues
✅ Required Skills
In-depth knowledge of 3GPP 5G NR standards (38.xxx series)
Experience with PHY, MAC, PDCP, RLC, or RRC layers
Proficient in C/C++; Python knowledge is a plus
Strong background in real-time embedded systems & multithreading
Familiarity with L1/L2 integration and 4G/LTE stack
🎓 Preferred Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Telecom, CS, or related field
Experience in 2G/4G/5G gNB/UE stack or simulation frameworks
Knowledge of tools like Wireshark, MATLAB, Vector, or protocol analyzers
Experience with SoC, FPGA, or DSP-based systems
