MultiversX announced that it has temporarily suspended its network due to abnormal state changes caused by an attempted attack targeting an atomicity vulnerability in the Virtual Machine (VM) layer. It has been reported that DTC Pay, a Singaporean stablecoin payment company, has completed a $25 million Series A funding round, with Japan's SBI Group participating as a strategic investor. Deutsche Bank, Germany’s largest bank, has announced plans to launch a virtual asset custody service for institutional investors. Subject to regulatory approval, the service is scheduled to launch by the end of this year and will provide institutional and corporate clients with the ability to securely store and transfer Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and certain stablecoins. It is reported that the service scope will be expanded to tokenized financial products in the future.

Hyundai Card has announced follow-up plans for the Proof of Concept (PoC) conducted with Avalanche. Miden has unveiled Bread, a cryptocurrency wallet leveraging zero-knowledge proof technology. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York has indicted Robinhood engineers Hepu Zhai and Huaisong Xiang on charges of commodities fraud and wire fraud. According to prosecutors, the defendants allegedly used non-public cryptocurrency listing information from Robinhood to repeatedly trade related perpetual futures on Hyperliquid. The trades took place between 2025 and 2026, and the two individuals are reported to have each gained over $50,000 in illicit profits. Each defendant faces up to 10 years in prison for violating the Commodity Exchange Act and up to 20 years for wire fraud.

Robinhood has announced plans to introduce features allowing its stock tokens to be redeemed 1:1 for the underlying actual stocks and to carry voting rights. Lee Hyung-il, candidate for Deputy PM and Finance Minister, stated in National Assembly documents that virtual asset taxation standards will be issued via a National Tax Service notice by year-end.

Fintech company Revolut announced that customer personal information was leaked to an external attacker who impersonated a government agency email domain. According to The Block, the incident was caused by a sophisticated impersonation scam, and the company stated that there was no impact on systems or customer funds. The leaked information reportedly includes names, dates of birth, addresses, contact details, as well as copies of passports and driver's licenses, account statements, and transaction histories. Revolut stated that it has directly contacted affected customers and reported the incident to relevant government agencies and financial regulators.

Starknet announced the v0.14.4 network upgrade, with a schedule of testnet deployment on September 15 and mainnet application on October 5. This update introduces block-level proofs, supporting operations of up to 1.1 billion L2 gas units in a single transaction through SNIP-36 expansion. Additionally, improvements to the gateway and sequencer are underway, including gas weight adjustments reflecting actual costs and the removal of legacy endpoints. A National Assembly public petition requesting a two-year delay in virtual asset taxation has reached 50,000 signatures, meeting the formal petition requirements. The petition proposes postponing the tax implementation date from 2027 to 2029 to allow time for organizing the tax system and regulations. Public petitions with over 50,000 signatures are subject to review by the relevant National Assembly committee, and this petition will also require future National Assembly review and legislative amendment procedures. The Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced a new regulatory proposal regarding stablecoin transactions. The proposal limits deposits and withdrawals through digital asset operators to only verified accounts and wallets. Additionally, it plans to set a daily stablecoin deposit and withdrawal limit per individual at approximately 5 million baht (approximately 203 million KRW) for each operator. This limit does not apply to transfers between regulated operators within Thailand that comply with the Travel Rule. The SEC stated that this measure is intended to reduce risks related to money laundering, cybercrime, and circumvention of cross-border fund transfer regulations.
