Study: The relationship between IQ and political alignment is not causal. Lower IQ does not make you right-wing, higher IQ does not make you a libtard.
"Previous research has consistently shown that higher intelligence (IQ) is linked to lower levels of Right-Wing Authoritarianism (RWA) and Social Dominance Orientation (SDO). However, prior studies have been largely correlational, leaving it unclear to what degree these associations are driven by unobserved confounding."
"When comparing twins within the same family, these associations were substantially attenuated for DZ twin pairs, and for MZ twin pairs they disappeared altogether. For RWA, the results - large pooled effect, reduced DZ effect, and null MZ effect - indicates that both shared environmental and genetic factors jointly confound the association between IQ and RWA."
