👉 I tested Upwork's new boosted messages for a week. Here is the result.
0 sent. 0 viewed. 0 responded.
Zero messages sent. My message never reached anyone in seven days.
I bid the minimum, 2 connects per message, with a small total cap. Either that bid was too low to win any placement, or Upwork does not have enough clients receiving these yet. I cannot tell which from my side, and I am not going to pretend I can.
👉 What I take from it, honestly.
It cost me nothing, because nothing was sent. So no harm done.
But if you were planning to rely on this to reach clients, do not. Not yet. It is too new and too thin to be a channel.
Keep doing the thing that actually works: be findable so clients invite you, and apply carefully to jobs that are genuinely moving.
👉 I will test it again with a higher bid and report back. If it still sends nothing, that tells us something too.
