👉 Upwork added a new way to spend connects. It might not be available on every account yet.
It is called boosting a message. Instead of applying to a job, you write one short message and Upwork sends it to clients matching your skills, straight to their inbox. You bid connects to sit near the top.
👉 My honest read before testing it.
This is still connects paid to be considered. Same tax, different door.
The difference: you reach clients who have not posted a job you are competing on. No pile of 50 proposals.
The hard part is you cannot research the person. Everything that makes a proposal work, opening with something specific about their business, is impossible here.
So it lives or dies on the first line.
