Soliyeva Mokhinur IELTS/Multilevel: post #6047 — TG.ME

There is a view that people living in the 21st century have a higher standard of living when compared to previous centuries. Personally, I completely agree with this notion for several reasons.

One reason behind my agreement lies in the remarkable progress in healthcare. Scientists and doctors have found cures for many diseases that have caused millions of deaths. Even severe illnesses requiring surgical operations can be treated using advanced tools without much pain. You can check your health, for example, your blood pressure and blood sugar level, easily, which was not possible in the past. Thanks to the advancements in medicine, people can live longer and healthier lives.

Moreover, people have access to quality education, which was limited in previous centuries. Education is now more accessible in public schools, universities and online learning platforms, allowing people to acquire new skills and improve their knowledge for better employment opportunities and a higher standard of living. The more knowledgeable people are, the more money they may earn, which is the key to enjoying a better quality of life.

Lastly, advanced technologies contribute to a better quality of life. Individuals can use different technologies to do house chores, making everyday life more convenient. For example, a woman who is tired after work can clean rooms or wash the dishes using machines. Moreover, the Internet, smartphones and online platforms help people communicate and access information instantly. People can stay in touch with each other no matter how far apart they are, making life more meaningful, too.

In conclusion, it is my conviction that the quality of life in the 21st century is considerably better than in earlier centuries because of improvements in healthcare, education and technology
