Most large businesses in India use a mix of filters and chemicals to treat wastewater. Billions of litres undergo treatment every day before being discharged back into India's rivers and groundwater.
A Maharashtra-based company, Indra, has patented an alternative solution that allows industries to recycle water instead of dumping it. Their line of electrochemical reactors, called ElectroX, use non-contact micro-electrolysis to purify and recycle water so that it can be reused for things like flushing toilets, irrigation and gardening, cleaning, cooling towers, HVAC, boilers, and industrial processes across textiles, metals, and pharma.
Indra's ElectroX reactors are now being used across India, Indonesia, and Vietnam, and they plan to continue their global expansion in the coming months and years.
