Adidas has sparked controversy after featuring Israeli soldier Shalev Biton, a former sniper with the Nahal Brigade who lost his leg during the 2021 Gaza escalation, in a campaign promoting its single-shoe purchasing service for people with disabilities.
Biton reportedly served along the Gaza border during the 2018 Great March of Return protests, when Israeli forces killed and wounded thousands of Palestinians.
