A Jerusalem court has postponed the date for Palestinian journalist Bayan Al-Jaaba to begin serving a 20-month prison sentence.
Al-Jaaba was convicted of “incitement” and “supporting a terrorist organization” over social media posts. Her appeal is scheduled for January 5, 2027.
Israeli forces detained her inside Al-Aqsa Mosque in February 2025. Al-Jaaba is a mother of three and gave birth to her youngest child while under more than 15 months of house arrest.
