US Senator Jeff Merkley criticized the Netanyahu government for failing to hold extremist settlers accountable for harassment and violence, citing firsthand accounts he received during a visit to the West Bank last year.
Merkley said Palestinians, including Palestinian Americans, are being prevented from accessing their homes, threatened, and attacked. He said such actions are encouraged by the Netanyahu government and are “wrong under every moral code.”
