Pray for the World: Humanitarian workers increasingly exposed to dangers
A troubling development highlighted this week is the growing danger faced by people providing humanitarian and medical assistance. The WHO reports that more than 900 attacks on healthcare have been recorded in conflict zones so far this year, averaging more than four each day. Some 10 million people require humanitarian assistance and 7.5 million face acute food insecurity. Violence against aid workers is making it even harder to reach them.
Pray for those who serve in places of suffering. Pray for protection and courage for humanitarian workers and local churches serving amid war and hunger. Pray that aid would reach those in need and that nations would uphold the protection of civilians and humanitarian workers.
Pray For Singapore: Job and Opportunities
The changing employment landscape continues to be a concern as Singapore seeks to position itself for new opportunities in finance, technology and AI. Pray for meaningful work and an economy that serves people. Pray especially for young adults entering a rapidly changing workplace—that they would find meaningful employment, resilience and hope rather than being overwhelmed by uncertainty. Pray for employers and policymakers to steward technological and economic change so that its benefits are widely shared rather than leaving vulnerable workers behind.
Pray for the Church: St Andrew’s Cathedral (SAC)
Remember SAC in prayer. Pray for Vicar Revd Dr Christopher Chan and his team to be filled with godly wisdom and discernment as they lead the church. Uphold their diverseministries in prayer. Pray for unity amongst the multiple services as they embrace and live out the Gospel mission as one people.
Pray for Chapel of the Resurrection – Bidadari Kids’ Club (BKC)
Pray for COR’s outreach through BKC to serve the needs of the community. Pray for good rapport and trust to be built with the residents and the children over time. Pray for Gospel seeds to be planted and for open hearts amongst residents to explore COR through various church events.
Pray for the Sick:
Pray for COR members who are unwell physically, mentally or emotionally. Pray in particular for Chew Hai Joo, Gong Wooi Mau, Khoo Poh Tay, Janet Lee, Steven Lee, Edwin Low, John Suan, and Khoo Hwa Chiang. Ask God for healing and restoration, to bring good out of their suffering. Uphold the caregivers in prayer, to be refreshed spiritually, physically and emotionally.
