Pray for the World: Ukraine - Possible Opening over the Black Sea
Ukraine has proposed a Black Sea truce with Russia, under which both countries would stop attacking civilian maritime targets. As Russia and Ukraine are major grain exporters, prolonged disruption could contribute to higher food prices and greater food insecurity in poorer nations. Russia has not yet formally accepted the proposal. Pray for an opening towards peace in Ukraine. Pray that this limited proposal might become a first step towards de-escalation and for the protection of civilians. Pray also that grain and food supplies would continue reaching vulnerable communities around the world.
Pray For Singapore: Singapore @ 61
Beyond policies, National Day has prompted reflection on Singapore's next chapter—including the aspirations of younger Singaporeans for a country that remains safe and united but is also fair, compassionate and able to offer future generations a good life. Pray for Singapore's next generation and our common life. Pray for wisdom for our leaders as they shape policies affecting families and Singapore's future. Pray that amid rapid technological, economic and demographic change, we would remain a cohesive people who care for the vulnerable, strengthen families, give our young hope and purpose, and seek the common good.
Pray for the Church: St Andrew’s Community Chapel (SACC)
Remember SACC in prayer. Pray for Vicar Revd Daniel Tongand his team to be filled with godly wisdom and discernment as they lead the church. Uphold their ministry in St Andrew’s Community Hospital (Simei & Bedok) and Simei-Tampines neighbourhood. Pray for unity in the parish and for renewal in zeal amongst both young and old, that they would continue faithfully in the mission and ministry entrusted.
Pray for Chapel of the Resurrection – Ablaze
Pray for ourselves to be “set ablaze” by the Spirit of God as we conclude the sermon series on Jonah. As God bring to attention deeper areas for transformation in our lives, pray for grace and courage to surrender to the Spirit’s work in us. Pray also that as we experience healing we will go forth as God’sinstruments to bring transformation to our world.
Pray for the Sick:
Pray for COR members who are unwell physically, mentally or emotionally. Pray in particular for Chew Hai Joo, Gong Wooi Mau, Khoo Poh Tay, Janet Lee, Steven Lee, Edwin Low, John Suan, and Khoo Hwa Chiang. Ask God for healing and restoration, to bring good out of their suffering. Uphold the caregivers in prayer, to be refreshed spiritually, physically and emotionally.
