The Chinese giant BYD decided to test the durability of its flagship Yangwang U7 and subjected it to a real hell.
They bought a regular car from a dealer and drove it on the track for 9 consecutive days in the heat of +36 °C. The result — 30,000 kilometers driven at an average speed of 240 km/h. During this time, the sedan was connected to fast charging over 350 times.
What happened to the car:
The Blade Battery 2.0 survived, losing only 1.3% of its capacity (remaining at 98.7%).
In the lineup, there is a fully electric U7 (with a range of up to 1006 km) with a power of 1287 hp, as well as a hybrid with 1341 hp.
The test itself is just part of a massive program: another 758 cars have already covered nearly 10.5 million km.
Not every gasoline car can withstand such a marathon without losing resources, constantly operating at the limit of revolutions. But the electric sedan managed it.
