The Lotus Elise has been transformed into a single-seat supercar for nearly $500,000 — the driver now sits directly in the center, like in the McLaren F1.
The British Analogue Automotive completely overhauls old Elise S1s: they install a carbon body, boost the 1.9-liter engine to 250 horsepower, and reduce the car's weight to less than 600 kg. As a result, there are about 400 horsepower for every ton of weight.
Only 35 such Elises will be produced. The price is approximately $472,000, and the donor car is already included in the cost.
