Perhaps the cage keeping Carmen inside was so glamorous that they chose to turn blind-eyes about the Carmen's sorrow. Little did they know, everything has price to pay... whether they were victims or predators.
This song, that tells the beautiful yet sorrowful story of Carmen, was inspired by Lana's favorite book lolita, Vladimir Nabokov's dark tale of obsession.
