Coiled Beneath Eighty
BTC grinds sideways in the high-70s with vol at the floor and coins moving back onto exchanges, not off.
BTC sits at $77,869, up 0.7% on the session but a shade lower since Monday's note over a 71h window that swung between $76,591 and $79,133. RSI(14) has cooled to 66 from last week's high-70s, and spot still trades 14% above its 50-day. The book has reset without the structure breaking, XRP-led alts doing the day's lifting while majors catch breath.
Underneath, the flow has quietly turned. 3,551 BTC ($276m) moved back onto exchanges over 24h, the 84th percentile of the last three months, while ETH funds saw a similar inbound tilt. Funding sits rich at 7.6% annualised for BTC and near its 1-year high for ETH, a book leaning long into supply arriving on venues. Liquidations ran $287m over 24h, balanced across sides, no forced-flow tell either way.
Vol prices nothing: BTC at 33.3, the 15th percentile of its year, ETH at 50.7, the 11th, with dealer hedging stacked thick at $80-82k, still the lid to clear. Wednesday's session added $101m of BTC ETF inflows even as ETH funds bled $48m. Friday's 12:30 UTC payrolls, with Fed hike odds priced near 62%, is the week's real test. Coiled, not committed.
