“Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, learn to do good.” — Isaiah 1:16 (NKJV)
Isaiah presents a powerful truth: God is not looking for outward religion, but for a heart that is truly transformed.
“Wash yourselves” is a call to purification. True revival begins when we allow the Holy Spirit to reveal what must be removed from our lives. We cannot continually desire the power of the Spirit without also desiring the holiness of the Spirit.
God says, “Cease to do evil, learn to do good.” Sanctification is not merely stopping sin; it is allowing Christ to form a new character within us.
Then comes one of the most beautiful invitations: “Come now, and let us reason together.” After exposing sin, God still says, “Come.” Sin makes us want to hide from God, but grace calls us to return to Him.
“Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow.”
🔥 This is the power of grace: what man cannot erase, God can cleanse.
True revival is not merely a church that prays louder, but a church that repents deeper, lives holier, loves sincerely, and obeys completely.
Before saying, “Lord, use me!”, learn to say: “Lord, cleanse me!”
