White House designates Palestine Action as "global terrorist organization"
The White House on 26 August designated the UK activist group Palestine Action as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT), as part of a campaign to combat what it claims is a wave of "radical left terrorism" across the US and Europe.
Palestine Action was founded in 2020 as a direct action network devoted to the goal of "ending global participation in Israel's genocidal and apartheid regime."
The group is known for its sabotage and vandalism of weapons factories in the UK belonging to Elbit Systems, Israel's largest defense company. Elbit produces drones and other weapons that have played a key role in killing Palestinian civilians in Gaza...
