WHY have these countries still not phased it out? Look, I understand that it's easy for me to say stuff like this while being nice and comfortable in the US, but come on. It has been a really long time since the US started using the USD as a weapon. It's kind of unbelievable to me that WE will be the ones to FORCE others to stop using it. Especially countries we've antagonized. I was joking about Bessent's plan to cut off countries that associate with Iran, but it really looks to me like Bessent is just tired of their complacency and wants to do it for them. At least after last week's announcements. Ugh.
