💼 Sony and Warner Chappell sue Anthropic over AI lyric training
Sony Music Publishing and Warner Chappell Music filed suit against Anthropic and co-founders Dario Amodei and Benjamin Mann on August 28, 2026, alleging tens of thousands of copyrighted song lyrics were used to train Claude. The complaint was filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
