💼 UK Opens £100M AI Procurement Challenges for NHS and Defence
The UK government launched its first competitions under the £100M Sovereign AI R&D Procurement Scheme on August 31, 2026. Four challenges invite British AI startups to build systems for the NHS, defence, computing efficiency, and AI agent security. Chancellor John Healey announced the initiative at the G20 Finance Ministers meeting in North Carolina.
