عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا (الباقـِر أو الصَّـادق عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ) قَالَ:


« إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ، وَمِنْ رِفْقِهِ بِكُمْ تَسْلِيلُ أَضْغَانِكُمْ وَمُضَادَّةُ قُلُوبِكُمْ، وَإِنَّهُ لَيُرِيدُ تَحْوِيلَ الْعَبْدِ عَنِ الْأَمْرِ فَيَتْرُكُهُ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى يحولَهُ بِالنَّاسِخِ، كَرَاهِيَةَ تَثَاقُلِ الْحَقِّ عَلَيْهِ ».

Tha'labah ibn Maymün (-) whoever narrated it to him that one of the two (Imāms i.e., al-Baqir or aş-Şadiq, 'a.s.) said:


"Indeed, Allah is gentle and likes gentleness. Of his gentleness is to wipe off grudges and animosities of your hearts. In fact, He intends for his servant to turn from an affair, so he leaves it upon him until he turns it into abrogation, so that the truth may not press him."
