The German Navy successfully tested an Israeli Lora-type ballistic missile in the North Atlantic on the night of September 2. The missile has a range of up to 500 km and is designed for high-precision strikes.
 
Preparations for the launch were conducted in secret. The test took place a few hours after Berlin officially accused Russia of an attempted sabotage at Leipzig airport.
 
If Berlin decides to purchase it, it will become the first ballistic missile in the arsenal of the German Armed Forces since the V-2 rocket of 1944-1945.
