الصحيح أن يقال الزَّخْمُ (بتسكين الخاء) في نحو: أكسب القضيةَ زَخْماً، بمعنى أكسبها دفعاً قوياً نحو الرواج، وأما الزَّخَمُ (بفتح الخاء) فهو النَّتَنُ والرائحةُ الكريهةُ.
