Trump may know something we don’t.
Because the way he talks about crypto lately makes me wonder.
You’d think a U.S. President who launched a crypto token would be extremely bullish.
But he doesn’t sound that way.
So what does he know?
Maybe his own memecoin gives us a clue.
It launched around $77 during its first week.
Today, it’s around $2.26.
That is a painful drop.
But the price isn’t the part that bothers me most.
It’s the selling.
Someone was selling heavily while others were buying the story.
Now, let’s assume Trump had nothing to do with the selling.
Fair enough.
Then who was actually running the show?
And why does it feel like nobody is asking?
This is where the real lesson is.
People buy coins because of names.
A celebrity launches one.
They buy.
An influencer promotes one.
They buy.
A president launches one.
They buy.
Then the price crashes.
And suddenly, everyone wants someone to blame.
But crypto has always had a simple rule:
Don’t buy the person.
Don’t buy the hype.
Buy the thesis.
Because even when the name on the coin is the President of the United States…
you can still lose almost everything.
