Russia is reportedly secretly helping Iran develop advanced supersonic cruise missiles capable of directly striking US aircraft carriers and other warships in the Middle East, in one of the most significant known transfers of strategic military technology from Moscow to Tehran, per FT.
They report Senior Russian engineers have traveled to Iran and Russian manufacturers have worked closely with Iranian developers sharing key design and testing data.
This comes as Putin himself directly confirmed that Russia will help Iran deal with the US naval blockade, saying "we admire the courage of Iranians in this war. We are trying to provide you with the necessary assistance. We have discussed this and will provide you with the necessary goods."
