Abstract:
Air pollution negatively impacts physical health, mental well-being, and cognitive function. Utilizing panel data, this study examines the short-term effects of Nitrogen dioxide on stress, well-being, sleep, energy, and cognitive performance. To address within-person correlation and individual variability, we apply mixed-effects models to analyze associations with daily exposure and evaluate potential variation by age, gender, and temperature. Ultimately, this talk highlights how mixed-effects modeling bridges statistical methods and pressing public health challenges.
