Hello,
Peace be with you!
May God bless you for visiting the elderly in their homes and sharing the love of Jesus through both your words and your actions.
There are many elderly people who need our help, and even more importantly, they need to hear the Good News that Jesus loves them before they leave this earth. This is an urgent mission that the Church must embrace by reaching the elderly in their homes, following the example of Jesus.
Jesus went from village to village and from town to town. He spent time with the poor, the sick, and those whom others overlooked. As Shine on the Darkness, we believe we are called to follow His example. Church leaders, pastors, and volunteers should go to the homes of the elderly, sit with them, listen to them, pray with them, and share the love of Jesus through both words and acts of kindness.
Shine on the Darkness encourages all church leaders and members to take this urgent Gospel mission to the elderly. We cannot expect every elderly person to come to our church buildings. Many have difficulty walking, and some are confined to their beds. The Church must go to them—that is what Jesus did.
We want to thank the pastors and volunteers of Shine on the Darkness for faithfully taking this urgent Gospel message into the homes of the elderly through initiatives such as Coffee with Jesus, Breakfast with Jesus, and the Impact the Family Beyond project, whose core mission is to share the kindness and love of Jesus with those who need it most.
May God continue to strengthen and bless you as you serve Him.
Keep up the good work!
Shine on the Darkness
Daniel
