This is a stark biblical reminder that satan isn't a cartoon villain, he's a real being with intellect, will, and evil motives set out to devour all of us.
Jesus called him the prince of this world, ruling over all of our systems, from politics, education, to even pop culture shaping our children's spiritual nature.
People unwittingly worship satan by chasing worldly power, wealth, and fame. He will deliver, but always at a steep price.
God permits this temporary dominion out of respect for free will, just as He allows human rebellion. Satan fiercely attacks Genesis, his origin tactics and Revelation, his ultimate defeat. We know who wins int he end.
Jesus taught us to pray daily for a reason. "Deliver us from the evil one."
In a world full of asleep people that laughs at the idea of spiritual evil or reduces it to "silly forces," much of what we see is deception, division and pursuit of wealth via evil methods by evil elites that have aligned themselves with evil, know they're fiery fate, and have set out to take us down with them out of rebellion and revenge to God.
1 Peter 5:8 — "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."
