A M43 field cap for members of Eastern Peoples and Cossack units, a depot piece from 1944. Made of blue wool fabric with metal buttons and a blue lining stamped "Leonhard Paulig Mützenfabrik Rotenburg-Oder 1944." The sweatband and cap insignia have been removed. On the left side is the colored lacquered metal insignia in the shape of a kinzal (curved dagger) of the special unit Bergmann of the Mountain-Caucasian Legion.
