Sales of new vehicles in Russia from January to August 2026 increased by 7 percent, surpassing 940,000 units. The market share of domestically produced cars reached 63.5 percent during this period. Sales of electric and hybrid vehicles nearly doubled to 83,000 units. Production of electric and hybrid vehicles in Russia is projected to increase by 1.5 to 2 times in 2026, reaching between 25,000 and 30,000 units, according to industry officials.
