NEPAL FLOODS: WARNING! GRAPHIC VIDEOS
On August 26, 2026, a catastrophic flash flood triggered by a glacial collapse (ice-rock avalanche) near the Nepal-Tibet border unleashed a wall of water, mud, and debris through the Lhende Khola, Bhote Koshi, and Trishuli rivers. What was initially mistaken for a magnitude 4.4 earthquake was later confirmed by the USGS as the seismic signal of the glacial collapse itself. The massive surge wiped out villages, bridges, roads, and hydropower projects in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and surrounding areas. My heart goes out to everyone who has suffered such a huge loss and trauma in Nepal and Occupied Tibet.
The highest estimate for those directly affected by the catastrophic August 2026 Nepal-Tibet flash floods reaches 93,000 people, according to a displacement and impact overview evaluated by the Red Cross. At least 1,114 people have been confirmed dead in Nepal alone, bringing the combined cross-border toll with Tibet to over 1,130 fatalities. Around 4,000 to 4,462 (some claim 20,000 plus) people remain unaccounted for across the region, including hundreds of foreign tourists and trapped hydropower workers. Victims include hundreds of tourists and pilgrims from India, the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and many other countries. Entire settlements were swept away in minutes.
These numbers are just that, and I don't personally trust them. The lives lost, the terror these people felt as they faced a certain death, I wish on nobody. The images shown here are a tough pill to swallow. And no, this was no ''climate change'' nonsense, this was planned and executed. Pray for the missing. Pray for the dead. Pray for the survivors. Pray for Nepal 🙏
