Diary of a Tokyoite

Past midnight, and half the windows across the street are still lit. We call it yofukashi (夜更かし), staying up too late 🌙

Up early in the morning, windows open, the city still quiet. In Japan we call it asa-katsu (朝活): doing something for yourself before work begins. Twenty minutes on the mat are mine 🌿

The days are getting shorter in Tokyo. Summer is really over now. Would you let me borrow your shirt and stay outside until the last light? 🍂

Nobody at the office noticed but it doesn't matter. I wish you a lovely day 😘

Three versions of me with this skirt

Got dressed slower than usual today. The skirt is new and I kept checking it in the mirror, before I made it to the office 👩‍💼
