I actually speak to normal people in the real world, something I encourage all of you guys to do, and the normies are being absolutely raped on fuel prices here in Australia.
These people are all living paycheque to paycheque as it is, and then fuel price doubles, ($1.50 to now $3/L.) with the government just trying to ignore it, not report on it, and forget about it.
But the normies are resentful as hell and seething.
In the construction industry there’s apprentices getting paid 600 bucks a week and spending 250-300 on fuel to get to work.
Dual income / over extended mortgage holder / 2 kids that go to daycare / normie archetypes have already been cooked by interest rate rises and were already on a knife's edge and now also spending near double on fuel.
The government ruled out any price relief too, so it’ll just be the new situation that everyone is left to try deal with.
