— GRAPHIC: The Papuan TPNPB separatist organization intensified its attack against civilians whom they accused of working with the Indonesian government. The group executed 3 ethnic Papuan civilians in the Yahukimo Regency of the West Papua region of Indonesia after accusing them of working as informants for the Indonesian government.
On 22 July, a member of the group attacked and beat up a civilian also accused of being a spy.
The Indonesian forces launched an operation to recover the bodies of the executed civilians, which led to a firefight with TPNPB elements.
