Russia is bogged down right now in Ukraine. It can’t make any progress on the front there, and so its threat to NATO in the near term is low.
However, that aggressive action, that invasion of Ukraine, the prior annexation of Crimea, I think those all lead us to believe that they can be unpredictable and they could be willing to take action against a NATO country.
What they would find if they did that is a very strong and capable alliance that is every day getting stronger because of President Trump's leadership and The Hague defense commitment we got in June of 2025.
