The transfer took place between March and August 2026 and represents more than a quarter of the roughly 313 tons previously stored in the U.S. and Canada.
DNB says London was selected because its position as a major physical gold trading hub would allow the Netherlands to access or sell its reserves more quickly if needed during a serious crisis.
