— More than 20 homemade rockets used in the Brandenburg power-grid attack were designed to disrupt the electricity network, according to BILD and WELT.The aim was apparently to disable an electrical substation near the Jänschwalde power plant.
The rockets were fitted with copper wires intended to become entangled in overhead power lines and trigger short circuits, while analog timers were used to activate them.
At least two rockets hit high-voltage lines and caused minor damage, although it remains unclear how many were actually launched.
