— One of Mossad's plans to overthrow Iran’s government was a covert operation involving Kurdish forces that ultimately failed, according to Channel 13.Thousands of Kurdish fighters were brought to Israel for training. The plan envisioned a major Israeli air campaign in Iran’s Kurdish regions that would clear a corridor for Kurdish forces to enter the country, with planners hoping an initial military breakthrough would spark anti-government protests involving millions of Iranians.
However, the plan was abandoned shortly after the war began. “After three days of the campaign, we received the word: Don’t,” an Israeli official told Channel 13.
The order came from the White House following opposition from Turkish President Erdoğan and pressure from U.S. Vice President JD Vance.
