The Setup
Thursday was a seller's session. Nifty opened at the day's high, failed at 24,297.45, and bled steadily to close at 24,090.85 — exactly on the low. Closing on the low after an open-high rejection hands control to the bears.

Today's open is repairing that, but narrowly. The lift is almost entirely IT (+2.78%), riding a firm Wall Street close. Realty, Auto and Metal are modestly green; FMCG is the lone red sector.

India VIX at 10.90 sits well below 15 — complacency, not confidence. No cushion if the tape rolls over.

Global cues support: US higher, crude softer at $83.11, gold easing 0.39%. GIFT Nifty at 24,323 holds a premium to spot.

Nifty
A pullback inside a range, not a breakdown — the close-on-low was rejected early. 24,090 is the line in the sand; holding above 24,150 keeps 24,300 live.

Bank Nifty
Opened below yesterday's close and still marginally red — clearly lagging Nifty. Financials are not confirming the IT-led bounce, which caps upside conviction.

Conclusion
Verdict: a narrow, IT-led bounce on a market that closed weak. Watch Bank Nifty — until financials turn green, this bounce is borrowed strength.
